Zeist is a municipality and a town in the central Netherlands. The town is less that 12 km (7 miles) east of Utrecht. Utrecht is a transportation hub for the Netherlands. There are three mansions located near the village of Zeist. These are the Huis te Zeist, Kersbergen, and Blikkenburg. The original town was mentioned in the historical charter as early as 838. There are remnants of a 12th century church incorporated into the towns Reformed Church.

The Driebergen-Zeist railway station serves the town, taking you to Utrecht, which is the hub for the rest of the Netherlands and beyond. The A28 and A12 are major roads that border the town and converge with the A27.
