Area Information

Saint Denis is a commune, located 10 km (6 miles) north of the centre of Paris. It is the sub-prefecture of the department of Seine-Saint-Denis. Its population is above a hundred and five thousand inhabitants and the residents are known as Dionysiens. Among the suburb’s major attractions are the Basilica of Saint Denis and the French national football stadium: the Stade de France.

Business Information

Saint Denis is changing its economic base from being predominantly industrial, to one that reflects the diversity of sectors found throughout the rest of Paris. The new economy will include tourism, finance, and the service sector. There are many locations throughout Saint Denis that offer executive suites to companies looking to rent office space in this evolving business centre.

Entertainment And Dining Out

A major point of interest in Saint Denis is the Basilique de Saint-Denis – a Gothic church and a burial site for some of the French monarchs. It provides an excellent overview of France’s royal history. Worth visiting in the area are also the Musée Bouilhet-Christofle and the Stade de France. Saint Denis has many dining places, offering its visitors the chance to try a variety of cuisines. Le Café de l’Orient is a Moroccan café that offers teas, pastries, cocktails, couscous and mouth-watering tagines. Le Petit Breton serves items from an authentic French menu including steaks, escalope Normande and daily specials.

Transport Information

Getting to Saint Denis using public transport is simple and convenient. It requires taking the north bound Métro 13 (light blue) line and getting off at one of four stations: Carrefour Pleyel, Saint-Denis - Porte de Paris, Basilique de Saint-Denis, and Saint-Denis – Université. The area is also served by the RER line B and the RER line D, making getting around Paris even easier.
