Offenbach, Germany is a city in the state of Hesse. It is located south of the Main River, beside Frankfurt. This city is part of the Frankfurt urban area and has the highest number of foreign residents in Germany. This area is historically tied to the leather industry. One city landmark is the Deutsches Leder Museum (German Leather Museum). This is also the home of the international leather fair. There are still many shops that feature leather goods.

The city is close to the autobahn and is connected by a major line of the S-Bahn railway system to Frankfurt. There is also extensive bus service.
