Ciudad Real is a city in Castile–La Mancha, Spain. It is also the capital of the province of Ciudad Real. The city is located 115 miles (185 km) from Madrid and with the high-speed rail line between the two communities, this has lead Ciudad Real to become a long distance commuter suburb of the larger city. The La Mancha province is located in the interior of Spain and is home to over 100 small towns and villages, as well as several protected areas such as the Cabañeros and Tablas de Daimiel National Parks.
