Brossard is a city in Montérégie region, situated in the south-west part of Quebec, Canada. Although it has its own mayor, the municipality of Brossard is part of the urban Longueuil area. It is situated by two rivers (Saint Lawrence and Saint-Jacques) and is surrounded by four municipalities. Many parks run across the city, connected by biking paths.
Most of the businesses of the city are located along Taschereau Boulevard, at the city malls Champlain and Place Portobello, as well as in the lifestyle center Quartier DIX30. Car dealerships are another notable business in the city. One of the largest employers established in Brossard is the web portal Visicom Media. Brossard is just above 25 km (15 miles) from Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The city is serviced by auto routes and bridges, which connect it with the area of Montreal. The public transportation system includes buses, serviced by the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL).
