The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is in Canberra the capital city of Australia. City ACT is the country’s largest inland city and the eighth largest over-all in Australia. Located at the northern end of Australia, City ACT is 280 km (170 miles) south-west of Sydney. The area surrounding City ACT is filled with historic townships, beautiful coastlines, the Snowy Mountains, and many natural wonders.
City ACT has an economy largely based on government administration and defence. The Australian Defence Force and HMAS Harman - a naval communications centre, are both headquartered in Canberra. There are also private sector contributions to the economy that include independent software vendors, such as Tower Software and Rule Burst. City ACT has many areas that offer executive suites.

There are traditional pubs, an eclectic selection of clubs and bars, upscale cocktail lounges, concert halls with live music, and beer gardens. City Act also is home to casinos and performing arts theatres. Dining options go hand I hand with the areas award-wining wines. The city has several award-wining hospitality schools producing talented chefs and over 300 restaurant choices offering dishes made with fresh produce. One restaurant that shouldn’t be missed is Morks, a vibrant Thai food establishment that accepts reservations.
The closest major airport to City ACT is the Canberra International Airport. This airport is 5 km (3 miles) from the city centre. The dominant form of transportation in Canberra is the car but you will also find public transport options as well as an extensive network of bike paths and walking trails. The Barton Highway, Remembrance Driveway, Kings Highway and Monaro Highway are the main roads leading in and out of City ACT.
