The N1 highway is the county’s main road link between Cape Town and Johannesburg, also passing by Pretoria on its way to the Zimbabwean border. Getting around the country is possible by plane, with well-established links between domestic airports. There is also bus and train service throughout the country. South Africa’s Metrorail operates in the major cities and long-distance trains, like the luxury Blue Train (from Cape Town to Johannesburg), provide inter-city links.
